My plan for this blog is to showcase all the tv shows I've worked on over the past 20 years with a few storyboard samples shown via Quicktime. We'll see how quickly I can get my stuff up here in a digital format!
This past year I've crossed over into the digital world of Toonboom Storyboard Pro using the Cintiq and stylus which I love, but the major crossover I'd like to make (as if going from paper to cyberspace wasn't enough) is the move from television to features!
Living in Texas for 12 of the last 2 decades did not afford me the privilege of working on "the Rugrats Movie", "Curious George", "The Simpson Movie" with the rest of my friends, all of whom I've worked with on the tv series of each. Hence, my return to LA!
Of course, with my love for Pixar movies and the Disney classics, my passion is to go in that direction... however, I have a quite a story myself that I brought back from Texas, so my quest for this year is to write a book by May and then take it to the next step of film making with the help of all the talented artists, directors and producers I've worked with over the years. I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but you know what they say... If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough!!
I'm learning to be patient in the process as I slowly discover and learn how to do all this as I go... thank you for your patience as well! If you have any words of advice or suggestions on how to go about this thing, I welcome your comments...Godspeed! Kelly, WOW - the Good Lord has packed a monumental amount of talent into a very pretty package my dearest friend. Your paintings should be hung in a gallery selling for mega-bucks and those Hollywood stars should be lining the blocks to have you paint a mural in their spoiled little rich darlings bedrooms. And who is that gorgeous blond lady (and cute hubby and boys) in your "Alien Mom"? Someone at Pixar needs to discover this box-office-hit-to-be and get started on production. And I know your book will be on the best-seller list and they'll be fighting over rights to the movie.(Did I mention I can act - we'll talk later...) I bless your dreams and ambitions and am believing with you that God will open many doors for you that will cause them to come to fruation. Love, Dawn
